Answer
  • changed DTLS role settled: a=setup:active

actpass is an offer to be either, and exactly one endpoint has to resolve it. This answer takes the client role, so it sends the DTLS ClientHello. Answering actpass in turn would leave nobody to start the handshake.

  • dropped mid 0 telephone-event dropped

Offered as payload type 110, and not supported here. Striking it from the m-line is how an answer says no to one codec without turning down the whole media description.

  • kept mid 0 Payload types are the offer's to assign

Offering first, this endpoint would have written opus as 96. Answering, it uses 111 instead. A payload type is a label scoped to one session description, not a property of the codec.

  • kept mid 0 Direction inverted to a=sendrecv

An offer of a=sendrecv is answered with a=sendrecv, because each side states what *it* does. The two lines describe one arrangement seen from opposite ends, not two separate requests.

  • dropped mid 1 H264 dropped

Offered as payload type 102, and not supported here. Striking it from the m-line is how an answer says no to one codec without turning down the whole media description.

  • kept mid 1 Direction inverted to a=sendrecv

An offer of a=sendrecv is answered with a=sendrecv, because each side states what *it* does. The two lines describe one arrangement seen from opposite ends, not two separate requests.

Replies inside the offer's shape, and can only say yes or no to each part of it.
